NKEM OJI-ALALA is a Business Development Consultant by profession who focuses in Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse and Software Development. He has worked in various technical project management positions with Affiliated Computer Services, Reliant Energy, Direct Energy, Project Manager (Engineering Operations and Initiatives) for GE Oil & Gas, and Siemens Energy (Wind Power). Nkem studied Business Management at the University of Houston, Victoria.
Mr. Oji-Alala has serves different business and community roles.
· Board of Director of the Houston International Trade Development Council.
· President of Emergent Business Solutions, LLC, and IT consulting companies that specializes in providing ERP and business development solutions for commercial companies.
· President of Network of Africans in Diaspora (NOAD), a network of African businessmen with interests in business development, community service and investment opportunities.
· President and CEO of African Fashion Week Houston, the biggest African fashion week in the State of Texas that produces African fashion shows, showcases and workshops to educate and inform the community of the African heritage and culture.
· Co-Chair of Hearts of Houston Golf Tournament
· Executive Director of Information Control Systems in Lagos Nigeria.
He is very passionate about International Trade in Africa, Fashion, and community service. Through his work, Nkem has supported charities like the Houston Food Bank, Dress for Success, Breast Cancer Foundation and St.Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Nkem Oji-Alala attended UT-Dallas with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Organizational Leadership.
